personality. Harper can be very childish when she wants to be. Having known she was genderfluid from a very young age, she coped with the discrimination by developing a very aloof "I don't care" attitude, using jokes to shrug it off. He was lucky, though, having parents that accepted her the moment she began questioning her gender and sexuality. One day she went to her father and told him, "I don't if I'm a girl..." and she followed it up with "But I don't think I'm just a boy either... Can I be both?" And her father smiled and assured that she most certainly could. But when the situation calls for it Harper can be extremely serious and, if necessary, cold-blooded. He isn't afraid to get his hands dirty with gunpowder when pulling a trigger.
While Harper isn't asexual, she isn't very sexual either. It only happens in rare instances. And while she's genderfluid, for the most part, she goes by female pronouns, if just to make things easier on others. history. Harper grew up into a very loving but... unconventional home. Her two fathers, Cian and Clint, agreed on letting their best friend, Lilith, be their egg donor for their child. Cian already had a daughter, Embry, from a previous affiar, but wanted one with his husband. The invitro fertilization yielded two babies: twins, Harper and Benji, Harper being two minutes older than her twin brother.
But this wasn't the only thing that separated this family from the all-American. Because Lilith (deemed the three children's "aunt") didn't have what would be called a normal job. She ran a for-hire assassination ring. When Harper learned of her aunt's work (and that her sister Embry and her father Clint were working in it), she wanted everything to do with it. Cian, however, wouldn't allow it, stating that only one of his children was allowed to "be stupid and put themselves in that danger." But when Harper was nineteen, Embry decided she'd had enough of the spying and the killing, even if Lilith did give her the morally upright missions. Harper immediately jumped at the chance. Cian was furious, of course, but nothing could dissuade her. Harper trained rigorously and it didn't take long for Lilith to see the extreme potential her nephew had, nor did Harper have the same qualms about the type of missions he was sent on as Embry did. The spy life suited Harper just right. roleplay sample. She knew about Carmichael Industries. Everyone in the business did. The former CIA/NSA team turned blundering fools. The details on their dealings were scant, of course, but the simple fact that there were even details to be found proved their lack of professionalism. Now, Maxwell Corp. That was real professionalism. Only the front could be seen and no one found her aunt unless she wanted them to. Harper was proud of her side. But seeing Carmichael Industries make a practical mockery of what they did infuriated the twenty-two year old. Harper begged Lilith to do something about them, tried to convince her that they were drawing undue attention. But Lilith refused, saying something like "they lead the trail somewhere else" and that they were "Verbanski's problem now." Harper didn't like that at all, but was incapable of doing anything about it.
So imagine her surprise and delight when she entered a Buy More in Burbank on a whim and stumbled upon the very leader, Mr. Carmichael, himself. His smile had been wide and genuine, not one usually found in people working retail. He'd greeted her with the name Chuck, welcomed her to Buy More, and asked if she'd needed anything. Just as she was shaking her head, a blonde- no, the blonde, popped out from an employee door and called "Chuck" over. He said his quick, but oh so sincere, apologies and loped his well-over six-foot self to the woman like a puppy being called by its master. Well now. This was very interesting. Harper decided to snoop after that. Not obviously, of course. He was trained too well for that, but enough to sniff this place out and report it all back to Lilith. She noted the other employees, all in either white or green shirts, bustling about helping customers efficiently. ...So efficiently. Sure, Harper's colleagues were efficient at all times, but this was a Burbank Buy More. Where were the slackers? Where were the idiots and ill-equipped? It was all so very clean and that made it stand out more than anything.
"Shit... It's a whole damn operation." She had to get back to Lilith.
