charles irving bartowski !:
THE BASICS Name; Charles "Chuck" Irving Bartowski Age; 29 Birthday; September 29, 1980 Gender; Male Occupation; Secret Agent, Nerd Herd support Movie/Show; Chuck
THE OUTER LAYER Physical Appearance; Chuck is very lanky and tall. He doesn't really have too much muscle, and that he does, he isn't sure what to do with it. Of course, being a spy in his off-hours when not at the Buy More, definitely keeps him shape and helps build some muscle. He could never dream to have the same amount of muscle as Casey though. That would just be scary. His lack of muscle and tall height gives him a bit of a wet noodle appearance, and he isn't too fond of that. What can he say though? It's genetics.
Chuck's height reaches to about 6'4, 6'5. That is not including the height of his really curly dark brown hair. His eyes are little bit more difficult to describe. Sometimes they are a very light amber color, but then at other times, they are a very light brownish green. He definitely has eyes that change color. Portrayed By; zachary levi
THE INNER LAYER Strengths; - Video games
- fixing computers
- The Intersect 2.0
- Kind
- Sarah Walker
Weaknesses; - Intersects 2.0's side effects
- Emotional
- Naive
- Sarah Walker
- Hasn't had very good training as a spy
Personality; Chuck is a very sensitive and quite emotional. A lot of times, those emotions get in the way of things and he can't flash properly, a lot of times putting him, and others, in danger. But it also means that he is kind and caring, allowing him to make to be able to sometimes talk down bad guys from doing something. Sarah is a lot of times the cause of his emotional conflict, but also, talking to her, helps him get all of it off his chest, making him perform better when on a mission.
Because Chuck hasn't had formal training as a spy, he relies on the Intersect to get him through a mission, which again, can be dangerous. If not for the Intersect, there were plenty of times he easily would have died. It is almost sweet the level of Chuck's naivety. The third mission he ever went on, Sarah and Casey showed him pictures of dead people, hoping he might flash. The first words he said were, "Why are these people sleeping?"
But away from the spy life, Chuck is just a normal guy. Well, a nerdy guy, but normal none the less. Before he was thrown into the CIA, he was on the Nerd Herd at the local Buy More fixing computers. On his free-time, he played video games with his best friend Morgan.
THE PAST History; Chuck Bartowski was born and raised in Burbank, california. His mother, Mary elizabeth Bartowski, left him and his sister Ellie when they were both very young. Their father, Stephen J. Bartowski, it always away with work, so they learned to take care of themselves. Ellie is about five years older than Chuck, so she was the one that took care of them both. Ever since, Chuck and Ellie have been inseprable. As close as a brother and sister could be.
While Ellie went off to medical school, Chuck went to Stanford University and majored in engineering. But in Chucks senior year, stolen tests were found in his room under his bed, thanks to a tip from his best friend Bryce Larkin. Chuck later learns that Bryce only did this to help him, so the CIA wouldn't recruit him. But even after he learns that, he can't help the resentment he has for him, especially when Bryce goes after Sarah. What's worse, is after Chuck got kicked out, his girlfriend, Jill broke up with him. So Chuck was without a college degree, no girlfriend, and living in his sister's apartment with her boyfriend Devon Woodcomb A.K.A "Captain Awesome." Chuck got a job at the local Buy More as a Nerd Herd, working with his best friend Morgan. But about five years later, Chuck received an email from Bryce. When he opened it, all of the government's secrets were downloaded into his brain, keeping him in a constant state of fear, stress, and anxiety. The NSA sent their top agent, John Casey, and the CIA sent their top agent, Sarah Walker. Chuck falls for Sarah, and she tries not to reciprocate his love, knowing how hard it would make their job.
PUT YOU TO THE TEST Roleplay Sample; [2 paragraphs minimum] Chuck ran into the hospital, skidding to a halt in the hallway, breathing hard. He looked around frantically, trying to figure out which way to go. Casey had landed himself in the hospital, Sarah driving him there. Of course, Chuck hadn't been notified by this until after everything had already transpired. He had been yet to be told the details, and that was the reason he was here. Though he had been here before on a mission or two, the hallways still confused him, and he didn't know which way to turn. It was mainly because when he had been there, it wasn't really to visit anyone, but to get a bad guy that was trying to sell really important codes to even worse bad guys. It was easy to say, Chuck was annoyed. There were so many different turns, and doors, and "Do Not Enter" signs, it made his already too full head start to whirl.
Chuck sighed in exasperation and just picked a hallway, running down it. He heard a nurse call after him saying, "Sir! No running!" But he ignored her. Sure Casey was stronger than steel, and he wasn't worried about his well-being, but since he didn't know what the events were that landed Casey in the hospital, he was worried for Sarah too, hoping that she wasn't hurt as well. Sarah might be able to take a bullet or punch about just as well Casey, but Casey wasn't the one that Chuck was in love with. Finally he found a door that might help him out. He almost ran past it, but stopped suddenly, causing him to trip over a gurney. He jumped up quickly and pushed open the door, ignoring the hand-written "Do Not Enter". He opened his mouth to speak, when he noticed that two other people were already in there. A girl that looked incredibly annoyed was speaking angrily in a British accent, while a man was pleasantly asking a question. Chuck wasn't really the, take command of a situation type, so instead he stood there, bouncing on his heels, a hurried, impatient, and worryful look on his face. Standing at 6'5, he sort of towered over the rest of the people in the room. He looked between the three people, slightly annoyed. If these people could only understand the importance of his mission. Chuck wasn't really a self-praising guy that thought he was better than others, but in this case, it was little hard not to think that. He highly doubted that anybody in this room was a CIA agent trying to find his two handlers, one of which who happened to be his girlfriend. He clenched his teeth and squeezed his phone in his hand. He imagined Sarah and what she would say. "Just stay calm, Chuck. There's no reason to get all worked up. Casey can take of himself. You'll talk to the doctor in no time and figure out where he is. It's ok Chuck. Don't worry." Then she'd give him a reassuring smile, and avert her eyes, looking at the line in front of them, while he would stare at her a little while longer, then avert his eyes too so she wouldn't catch him staring. The thought made him smile, and he was a little bit calmer. But that didn't mean was no longer anxious for these people to hurry up.
